ܪܫܐ ܕܐܘܢܓܠܝܘܢ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ
1 The beginning of The Evangeliun d’Eshu Meshikha {The Good Message of Yeshua, The Anointed One}, The Son of Alaha {God}.

ܐܝܟ ܕܟܬܝܒ ܒܐܫܥܝܐ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܗܐ ܡܫܕܪ ܐܢܐ ܡܠܐܟܝ ܩܕܡ ܦܪܨܘܦܟ ܕܢܬܩܢ ܐܘܪܚܟ
2 As it is written in EshaYa Nabiya {Isaiah, the Prophet}, that “Behold I send Malaki {My Messenger} before Your face {or Your appearance}, so that he might prepare Your way;

ܩܠܐ ܕܩܪܐ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܛܝܒܘ ܐܘܪܚܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܫܘܘ ܫܒܝܠܘܗܝ
3 the voice which cries out in the madbra {the wilderness}, ‘Prepare the way of MarYa {The Lord-YHWH}, and straighten His paths!’”

ܗܘܐ ܝܘܚܢܢ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܡܥܡܕ ܘܡܟܪܙ ܡܥܡܘܕܝܬܐ ܕܬܝܒܘܬܐ ܠܫܘܒܩܢܐ ܕܚܛܗܐ
4 Yukhanan {John} was in the madbra {the wilderness} immersing {baptizing}, and Proclaiming The Mamuditha d’Athyabutha {The Immersion/Baptism of Repentance}, for the shubqana d’khatahe {the remission of sins}.

ܘܢܦܩܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܘܬܗ ܟܠܗ ܟܘܪ ܕܝܗܘܕ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢܝ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܡܥܡܕ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܝܘܪܕܢܢ ܢܗܪܐ ܟܕ ܡܘܕܝܢ ܒܚܛܗܝܗܘܢ
5 And unto him was going out all of the region of Yehud {Judea} and all of the sons of Urishlim {Jerusalem}, and he was immersing {baptizing} them in the Yurdnan {the Jordan} River, while they were confessing with regard to their sins.

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܘܚܢܢ ܠܒܝܫ ܗܘܐ ܠܒܘܫܐ ܕܣܥܪܐ ܕܓܡܠܐ ܘܐܣܝܪ ܗܘܐ ܥܪܩܬܐ ܕܡܫܟܐ ܒܚܨܘܗܝ ܘܡܐܟܘܠܬܗ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܗܘܬ ܩܡܨܐ ܘܕܒܫܐ ܕܒܪܐ
6 Now he, Yukhanan {John}, was clothed with a garment of the hair of camels, and was bound with a strap of leather at his loins. And there his food was locusts and the honey of the field.

ܘܡܟܪܙ ܗܘܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܗܐ ܐܬܐ ܒܬܪܝ ܕܚܝܠܬܢ ܡܢܝ ܗܘ ܕܠܐ ܫܘܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܬܓܗܢ ܐܫܪܐ ܥܪܩܐ ܕܡܣܢܘܗܝ
7 And he was Proclaiming and saying, “Look! The One who comes after me, who is more powerful than me, that One I am not worthy that I should stoop down to loosen the straps of His sandals!

ܐܢܐ ܐܥܡܕܬܟܘܢ ܒܡܝܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܢܥܡܕܟܘܢ ܒܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ
8 I immerse {baptize} you in the maya {the waters}, but, He will immerse {baptize} you in The Rukha d’Qudsha {The Spirit of Holiness}!”

ܘܗܘܐ ܒܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܬܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܢ ܢܨܪܬ ܕܓܠܝܠܐ ܘܐܬܥܡܕ ܒܝܘܪܕܢܢ ܡܢ ܝܘܚܢܢ
9 And it happened in those days, Eshu {Yeshua} came from Natsrath d’Galila {Nazareth of Galilee} and was immersed {baptized} in the Yurdnan {the Jordan} by Yukhanan {John}.

ܘܡܚܕܐ ܕܣܠܩ ܡܢ ܡܝܐ ܚܙܐ ܕܐܣܬܕܩܘ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܪܘܚܐ ܐܝܟ ܝܘܢܐ ܕܢܚܬܬ ܥܠܘܗܝ
10 And at once, when He ascended from the maya {the waters}, he saw that the Shmaya {the Heavens} split apart, and The Rukha {The Spirit}, like a Yawna {a Dove} descended upon Him.

12 And at once The Rukha {The Spirit} led Him out unto the madbra {the wilderness}.

13 And He was there in the madbra {the wilderness}, forty days, while tempted from satana {lit, the adversary}. And He was there with the haywatha {the wild animals}, and The Malake {The Heavenly Messengers/Angels} were ministering unto Him.

14 Then, after that Yukhanan {John} was delivered up, Eshu {Yeshua} came unto Galila {Galilee} and was Proclaiming The Sabartha d'Malkutheh d’Alaha {The Hopeful Message of The Kingdom of God}.

ܘܐܡܪ ܫܠܡ ܠܗ ܙܒܢܐ ܘܡܛܬ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܬܘܒܘ ܘܗܝܡܢܘ ܒܣܒܪܬܐ
15 And He said unto them, “The time has been completed, and The Malkutha d’Alaha {The Kingdom of God} has arrived! Repent and believe in The Sabartha {The Hopeful Message}!”

ܘܟܕ ܡܗܠܟ ܚܕܪܝ ܝܡܐ ܕܓܠܝܠܐ ܚܙܐ ܠܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܠܐܢܕܪܐܘܣ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܕܪܡܝܢ ܡܨܝܕܬܐ ܒܝܡܐ ܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܗܘܘ ܓܝܪ ܨܝܕܐ
16 And while He walked around the yama d’Galila {the sea of Galilee}, He saw Shimeun {Simeon} and Andraeus {Andrew} his brother, who were casting their masidatha {nets} into the yama {the sea}; for, it happened to be they were tsayade {fishermen}.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܬܘ ܒܬܪܝ ܘܐܥܒܕܟܘܢ ܨܝܕܐ ܕܒܢܝܢܫܐ
17 And Eshu {Yeshua} said unto them, “Come, follow Me, and I will make you tsayade {fishermen} of the banaynasha {the sons of men}!”

ܘܡܚܕܐ ܫܒܩܘ ܡܨܝܕܬܗܘܢ ܘܐܙܠܘ ܒܬܪܗ
18 And immediately they abandoned their nets, and went after Him.

ܘܟܕ ܥܒܪ ܩܠܝܠ ܚܙܐ ܠܝܥܩܘܒ ܒܪ ܙܒܕܝ ܘܠܝܘܚܢܢ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܘܐܦ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܣܦܝܢܬܐ ܕܡܬܩܢܝܢ ܡܨܝܕܬܗܘܢ
19 And when He passed over a little, He saw Yaqub {Jacob/James}, the son of Zabday {Zebedee}, and also Yukhanan {John}, his brother, in a sphintha {a boat}, who were preparing their nets.

ܘܩܪܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܡܚܕܐ ܫܒܩܘ ܠܙܒܕܝ ܐܒܘܗܘܢ ܥܡ ܐܓܝܪܐ ܘܐܙܠܘ ܒܬܪܗ
20 And He called them, and immediately they left Zabday {Zebedee} their father with the agiyre {the hired men}, and went after {i.e. followed} Him.

ܘܟܕ ܥܠܘ ܠܟܦܪܢܚܘܡ ܡܚܕܐ ܡܠܦ ܗܘܐ ܒܫܒܐ ܒܟܢܘܫܬܗܘܢ
21 And when they had entered Kaparnakhum {Capernaum}, at once He was teaching during The Shabe {The Sabbaths} in their Synagogues.

ܘܬܡܝܗܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܝܘܠܦܢܗ ܡܠܦ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܝܟ ܡܫܠܛܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܣܦܪܝܗܘܢ
22 And they were amazed by His doctrine. For, He was teaching them as being empowered, and not as Saphrehun {their Scribes/Lawyers}.

ܘܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܟܢܘܫܬܗܘܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܗ ܪܘܚܐ ܛܡܐܬܐ ܘܩܥܐ
23 And there was in their Synagogue, a gabra {a man} in whom there was a rukha tamatha {an unclean spirit}, and he cried out
 
ܘܐܡܪ ܡܐ ܠܢ ܘܠܟ ܝܫܘܥ ܢܨܪܝܐ ܐܬܝܬ ܠܡܘܒܕܘܬܢ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܡܢ ܐܢܬ ܩܕܝܫܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ
24 and said, “What to us and to you {i.e. what is the matter between us and you}, Eshu Natsraya {Yeshua, the Nazarene}? Have you come to destroy us? I know you, who you are: The Qadisheh d’Alaha {The Holy One of God}!

ܘܟܐܐ ܒܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܣܟܘܪ ܦܘܡܟ ܘܦܘܩ ܡܢܗ
25 And with regard to him, Eshu {Yeshua} rebuked, and said, “Skur phumak w’phuq meneh {Shut your mouth, and go out from him}!”
11 그리고 Shmaya {the Heavens}에서 음성이 나왔습니다. "너는 내 사랑하는 아들, 나는 너를 기뻐했다."

12 그리고 즉시 Rukha {영}은 그를 마브라 {광야}로 인도하였다.

27 And all of them were wondering and were asking one with another and saying, “Who is this? And what is this new doctrine? For, with authority he even gives command unto the rukhe tanphtha {the impure spirits}, and they obey him!”

28 And immediately tebeh {His fame} went out in all the region of Galila {Galilee}.

ܘܢܦܩܘ ܡܢ ܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܘܐܬܘ ܠܒܝܬܗ ܕܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܕܐܢܕܪܐܘܣ ܥܡ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܝܘܚܢܢ
29 And they went out from The Kenushtha {The Synagogue/The Assembly} and came unto the house of Shimeun {Simeon} and of Andraeus {Andrew}, with Yaqub {Jacob/James} and Yukhanan {John}.

ܘܚܡܬܗ ܕܫܡܥܘܢ ܪܡܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܒܐܫܬܐ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܥܠܝܗ
30 And the kahmatheh {the mother-in-law} of Shimeun {Simeon} was laying down with a fever, and they spoke unto Him about her.

ܘܩܪܒ ܐܚܕܗ ܒܐܝܕܗ ܘܐܩܝܡܗ ܘܡܚܕܐ ܫܒܩܬܗ ܐܫܬܐ ܘܡܫܡܫܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܗܘܢ
31 And He approached, took her by the hand, and raised her. And immediately the eshatha {the fever} left her, and she was ministering unto them.

ܒܪܡܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܡܥܪܒܝ ܫܡܫܐ ܐܝܬܝܘ ܠܘܬܗ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܝܫܐܝܬ ܥܒܝܕܝܢ ܘܕܝܘܢܐ
32 Then in the evening, at the setting of the shemsha {the sun}, they brought unto Him all those who were evilly affected {or evilly brought into bondage}, and the daywane {the demon possessed}.

ܘܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܟܠܗ ܟܢܝܫܐ ܗܘܬ ܥܠ ܬܪܥܐ
33 And all the madintha {the city} was assembled at the door.

ܘܐܣܝ ܠܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܒܝܫܐܝܬ ܥܒܝܕܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܟܘܪܗܢܐ ܡܫܚܠܦܐ ܘܕܝܘܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܐܦܩ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܕܝܘܐ ܕܢܡܠܠܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܝܕܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ
34 And He healed many, the ones who were evilly affected {or, evilly brought into bondage} with various kurhane {diseases/sicknesses}. And He cast out many daywe {demons}, and didn’t allow the daywe {the demons} that they should speak, on account that He had become known to them.

ܘܒܨܦܪܐ ܩܕܡ ܩܡ ܛܒ ܘܐܙܠ ܠܐܬܪܐ ܚܘܪܒܐ ܘܬܡܢ ܡܨܠܐ ܗܘܐ
35 And in the tsaphra {the morning}, He rose much beforehand {i.e. long before daybreak} and departed unto a secluded place, and was there praying.

{Note: In vs 35 above, the Khabouris Manuscript has a scribal error, where the scribe added “and” at the beginning of the last word. The other Peshitta MSS (Eastern text) have the correct reading. I have used the reading as found in the 1199 Houghton (Asahel Grant) MSS, which agrees with the official Peshitta text as used by The One Holy Apostolic Catholic Church of the East.}

ܘܒܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܕܥܡܗ
36 And Shimeun {Simeon}, and those with him, were looking for Him.

ܘܟܕ ܐܫܟܚܘܗܝ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܢܫܐ ܒܥܝܢ ܠܟ
37 And when they had found Him, they said unto Him, “All the nasha {the men} are looking for you!”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܠܟܘ ܠܩܘܪܝܐ ܘܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܕܩܪܝܒܢ ܕܐܦ ܬܡܢ ܐܟܪܙ ܠܗܕܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܬܝܬ
38 He said unto them, “Walk unto the villages, and unto the cities which are nearby, because I also preach there, for this I have come.

ܘܡܟܪܙ ܗܘܐ ܒܟܠܗܝܢ ܟܢܘܫܬܗܘܢ ܒܟܠܗ ܓܠܝܠܐ ܘܡܦܩ ܫܐܕܐ
39 And He was preaching in all their Synagogues in all Galila {Galilee} and cast out the shide {the demons}.

ܘܐܬܐ ܠܘܬܗ ܓܪܒܐ ܘܢܦܠ ܥܠ ܪܓܠܘܗܝ ܘܒܥܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܐܢ ܨܒܐ ܐܢܬ ܡܫܟܚ ܐܢܬ ܠܡܕܟܝܘܬܝ
40 And a garba {a leper} came towards Him and fell upon His feet, and from Him was begging, and said unto Him, “If you desire, you are able to cleanse me!”
26 그리고 rukha tanphtha {더러운 영}이 그를 던지고 큰 소리로 부르짖고 그에게서 나갔다.

27 그들 모두가 궁금해하며 서로 묻되 이 사람이 누구냐? 그리고 이 새로운 교리는 무엇입니까? 이는 그가 권위를 가지고 rukhe tanphtha(불결한 영들)에게 명령을 내리시니 그들이 그에게 순종하기 때문이니라!”

28 곧 테베(그의 명성)가 갈릴라 온 땅에 퍼졌더라.

41 Then Eshu {Yeshua} had compassion on him, and stretching out His hand brought him near unto Him, and said, “I do desire, be clean!”

ܘܒܗ ܒܫܥܬܐ ܐܙܠ ܡܢܗ ܓܪܒܗ ܘܐܬܕܟܝ
42 And at that very moment his leprosy departed from him and he was clean.

ܘܟܐܐ ܒܗ ܘܐܦܩܗ
43 And He gave a charge to him, and sent him out.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܚܙܝ ܠܡܐ ܠܐܢܫ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܬ ܐܠܐ ܙܠ ܚܘܐ ܢܦܫܟ ܠܟܗܢܐ ܘܩܪܒ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܚܠܦ ܬܕܟܝܬܟ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܦܩܕ ܡܘܫܐ ܠܣܗܕܘܬܗܘܢ
44 And He said unto him, “Look here, why do you announce it unto a nash {a man}? Rather, go show naphshak {your soul/self} unto the Kahne {the Priests}, and bring the Qurbana {the Offering} for your purification, as Mushe {Moses} commanded for their testimony.

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܟܕ ܢܦܩ ܫܪܝ ܗܘܐ ܡܟܪܙ ܣܓܝ ܘܐܛܒܗ ܠܡܠܬܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܫܟܚ ܗܘܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܓܠܝܐܝܬ ܕܢܥܘܠ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܒܪ ܗܘܐ ܒܐܬܪܐ ܚܘܪܒܐ ܘܐܬܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܘܬܗ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܕܘܟܐ
45 But, when he departed, he began Proclaiming greatly, and made the matter known, in such a way that Eshu {Yeshua} wasn’t able to openly enter into the city, but rather, was outside in a deserted region. And they were coming towards Him from every place.

41 이에 에슈(예슈아)가 그를 불쌍히 여겨 손을 내밀어 그에게 가까이 이르되 내가 원하노라 깨끗하다 하더라

42 그 순간에 그의 문둥병이 그에게서 떠나고 깨끗하였더라

43 그리고 그는 그에게 명령을하고 그를 보냈습니다.

44 예수께서 그에게 이르시되 여기를 보라 네가 어찌하여 그것을 내쉬에게 알리느냐 오히려, 가서 Kahne {The Priests}에게 나프삭 {당신의 영혼/자신}을 보여주고, Mushe {Moses}가 그들의 증언을 위해 명령한 대로, 당신의 정화를 위해 Qurbana {제물}을 가져오십시오.

45 그가 떠날 때에 크게 선포하여 이 일을 알리사 에슈(예슈아)께서 겉으로 그 성 안에 들어가지 못하시고 도리어 바깥 한적한 들에 계시게 하시니라 그리고 그들은 모든 곳에서 그분을 향해 나아오고 있었습니다.
