Chapter 7
1 And after He finished all the words for the hearing of the Ama {the People}, Eshu {Yeshua} entered into Kaparnakhum {Capernaum}.

2 Now, the abdeh {the servant} of a certain Qentruna {Centurion} had become biyshaiyth {badly ill}, one who was dear to him, and he was close to dying.

3 And he heard about Eshu {Yeshua}, and sent the Qashishe d’Yehudaye {the Elders of the Judeans/Jews} to Him, and they were seeking from Him like this: That He might come and might give nakhe {life} unto abdeh {his servant}.

4 Then, when they came to Eshu {Yeshua}, they were beseeching from Him earnestly and saying, “He is worthy that you should do this for him,

5 for, he is rakhem {merciful} unto our people, and he has also built a Beth Kenushtha {a Synagogue House/an Assembly House} for us.

6 Then Eshu {Yeshua} was going with them, but, when He wasn’t very far from the baytha {the house}, the Qentruna {the Centurion} sent rakhmuhi {his friends} to Him, and they said unto Him, “Mari {My Lord} don’t trouble yourself, for, I’m not shue {worthy} that You should enter under my roof,

7 on account that I’m not worthy that I should come to you, but rather, speak with a word, and my servant boy will be healed.

8 For, I also, I am a gabra {a man} who is subjected under shultana {authority}, and there are soldiers under my power, and I say unto this one that he go, and he goes, and unto another one, that he come, and he comes, and unto my servant, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.”

9 Now, when Eshu {Yeshua} heard these things, He was amazed at him, and He turned and said unto the kensha {the crowd} which had come after {i.e. followed} Him, “I say unto you, that not even in Beth IysraIyl {The House of Israel} have I found Haymanutha {Faith} as this.

10 And those who were sent, returned unto the house, and they found the servant who was ill, after he was made whole.

11 And it happened that on the day after, He was departing unto a city that is called Naiyn, and His Disciples with Him, and a large kensha {crowd}.

12 And when He came near unto the tara d’madintha {the gate of the city}, He saw a miytha {a dead man}, while being carried, who was the only begotten of his mother, and emeh {his mother} was an armalatha {a widow}. And a large kensha {crowd} of the sons of the madintha {the city} was with her.

13 Then Eshu {Yeshua} saw her, and had compassion on her, and said unto her, “La thebkyin {don’t cry}.”

14 And He went and touched the arsa {the bed/pallet}, and those who were carrying him stood still, and He said, “Layma, lak amar Na qum {Young man, to you I say arise}!”

15 And that miytha {dead man} sat up and began to speak, and He gave him unto emeh {his mother}.

16 And fear seized all nasha {persons}, and they were giving praise unto Alaha {God} and they were saying that, “A Nabiya Raba {a Great Prophet} has arisen among us, and Alaha {God} has visited Ameh {His People}!”

17 And this matter concerning Him went out in all Yehud (Judea}, and in all the athra {the regions} that surround them.

18 And His Disciples related all these things unto Yukhanan {John}.

19 And Yukhanan {John} called two from Talmiduhi {his Disciples/Students}, and he sent them to Eshu {Yeshua} and said, “Are you He, that one who is to come, or are we to look for another?”

20 And they came to Eshu {Yeshua} and were saying unto Him. “Yukhanan Mamdana {John, The Immerser/The Baptist} sent us to you, and says, ‘Are you He, that One who is to come, or are we to look for another?’”

21 Then, in that hour, He healed many from kurhane {their diseases}, and from makhutha {their injuries}, and from rukhe biyshatha {evil spirits}, and for many samaya {blind men} He had given sight unto them.

22 And Eshu {Yeshua} answered and said unto them, “Go Declare unto Yukhanan {John} every thing that you have seen and have heard, that the samaya {the blind ones} are seeing, and the khagiyre {the lame ones} are walking, and the garbe {the lepers} are cleansed, and the kharshe {the deaf ones} are hearing, and the miythe {the dead ones} are rising, and the meskine {the poor} are given The Hope.

23 And blessedness unto whoever that shall not be offended in me.

24 Then, after The Disciples of Yukhanan {John} departed, Eshu {Yeshua} began to say unto the kenshe {the crowds} concerning Yukhanan {John}, “What did you go out unto the khurba {the desert} to see? A qanya {a reed} that is shaken by the wind?

25 And if not, what did you go out to see? A gabra {a man} who is clothed in a soft outer garment? Behold, those who are in splendid and in luxurious clothing are in beth Malkhe {a house of Kings}.

26 And if not, what did you go out to see? A Nabiya {a Prophet}, Yes. I say unto you, and more than a Nabiya {a Prophet}!

27 This is he about whom it is written, ‘Look! I’m sending Malaki {My Messenger} before Your face {or, Your appearance}, so that he might prepare the way before You.’

28 I say unto you, that there is no Nabiya {Prophet} among those born of neshe {women}, who is greater than Yukhanan Mamdana {John, the Immerser/Baptizer}, yet, the zura {the least} in The Malkutha d’Alaha {The Kingdom of God}, is greater than he!”

29 And all the Ama {the People} who had heard, even the Makse {the Tax Collectors/the Publicans}, Alaha {God} justified them, because they had been Immersed {Baptized} with the Mamudiytheh d'Yukhanan {the Immersion/the Baptism of John}.

30 But, the Phrishe {the Pharisees}, and the Saphre {the Scribes} rejected in naphshahun {themselves} the will of Alaha {God}, on account that they were not Immersed {Baptized} by him.

31 “Unto what therefore should I compare the nasha {the men} of this sharbtha {generation}? And unto what they resemble?”

32 They resemble talaye {boys} who sit in the shuqa {the market-place} and call out unto khabrayhun {their friends} and say. “We have sung to you, and you didn’t dance, and we have lamented for you, and you didn’t weep.”

33 For, Yukhanan Mamdana {John, the Immerser/Baptizer}, has come eating no lakhma {bread}, and drinking no khamra {wine}, and you have been saying, “There is a shida {a demon} in him!”

34 The Breh d’Nasha {The Son of Man} has come eating and drinking, and you have been saying, “Look! A gabra akula {a gluttonous man}, and a shathe khamra {a wine drinker, i.e. a drunkard}, and a rakhma {a friend} of the Makse {the Tax Collectors/The Publicans} and of the Khataye {the Sinners}!”

35 And Khekmatha {Wisdom} has been justified by all its deeds.”

36 Now, one who had come from the Phrishe {the Pharisees} asked Him to eat with him. And He entered unto the baytheh d’Phrisha {the house of the Pharisee}, and He reclined.

37 And an anttha {a woman}, a Khataytha {a Sinner}, was there in that madintha {city}, and when she knew that He was reclining in the baytheh d’Phrisha {the house of the Pharisee}, she took a shatiyphtha d’besma {a translucent jar of perfumed ointment},

38 and she stood behind Him, and was crying at His feet. And she had begun to wash His feet with her tears, and she was wiping them with the hair of her head. And she was kissing His feet, and meshkha {anointing} them with besma {ointment}.

39 Now, when that Phrisha {Pharisee} who had invited Him, saw it, he reasoned within naphsheh {his soul/himself}, and said, “If He was a Nabiya {a Prophet}, He had been knowing who she is, and what her reputation is, that she is a Khataytha {Sinner}, that anttha {woman} who touched Him.

40 Then Eshu {Yeshua} answered and said unto him, “Shimeun {Simeon} there is something for Me that I should say unto you.” Then he said unto Him, “Speak Rabi {My Master}.” Eshu {Yeshua} said unto him,

41 “There were two khayabe {debtors} to one mare khawba {creditor, lit. lord of debt}. One had owed to him five hundred diynare {denarius}, and the other fifty diynare {denarius}.

42 And because they had nothing to recompense {pay}, he forgave them both. Therefore, who from them will love him more?

43 Shimeun {Simeon} answered and said, “I suppose that he whom he had forgiven more.” Eshu {Yeshua} said unto him, “You have judged correctly.”

44 And He turned towards that anttha {woman} and said unto Shimeun {Simeon}, “Do you see this anttha {woman}? I entered into baythak {your house}, and you didn’t give maya {waters} for reglay {My feet}, yet, this woman has washed reglay {My feet} with demeyh {her tears}, and with sa’rah {her hair}, she shuyath {has dried} them.

45 You didn’t kiss Me, but, look! This one hasn’t ceased to kiss My feet since I entered!

46 You didn’t anoint My head with oil, but, this one has anointed My feet with the oil of incense.

47 For, I say this unto you that, it is because her many sins are forgiven her, that she has loved much. But, he who is forgiven little, loves little.

48 And He said unto that anttha {woman}, “Shabiyqiyn {Your sins} are forgiven you.”

49 Then those who were reclining began saying in naphshahun {their souls/themselves}, “Who is this that even forgives khatahe {sins}?”

50 But, Eshu {Yeshua} said unto that anttha {woman}, “Your Faith has made you alive, go in shlama {peace}!”
